We are launching a mini magazine…what exactly is a mini magazine, you ask? It is smaller than your traditional magazine and it is fewer pages, which means there is less focus on everything else and more focus on YOU, the advertiser.
Isn’t print advertising a thing of the past? Well, it almost is, but in a pandemic, where people are doing everything at home, an exciting piece of mail can really change your perspective and excite you! Especially if it is about something as monumental as planning your wedding! But as as a plus, we will be emailing the digital version out to our couples AND it will be available for download on the website.
The mini magazine will be mailed out in spring of 2021, targeting our virtual expo participants and our outdoor expo attendees with wedding dates between 2021 and 2023. Plus our newly engaged clients that come in through engagement season.

We are looking for bride or a couple on their wedding day with pink, purple, or burgundy themes with a wintery feel OR peachy pinks, berry colors with a spring feel! If you have an image you think is the PERFECT cover shot even if the color palette is different..please submit it!
If you win, you get the cover exposure and an interview in the magazine for free!! Runners up will be showcased in the magazine as well. If you are not a photographer, please get approval from the photographer to use their photo. All vendors involved in the wedding will be credited in the cover photo description inside the magazine. This can be a submission showing your final product when working behind the scenes to plan a wedding! Submissions due December 23rd! I’ve been an entrepreneur since my early teenage years, but didn’t go full time as a creative entrepreneur until 2008 after getting my Bachelors of Business Management. From then on, I dove head first into photography – which ultimately led me down the path in the fashion industry, the fine art industry, and the wedding industry. My client list and my press includes companies and magazines like Coach, Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Maxim, Adidas, Amazon, Style Me Pretty, The Knot, Wedding Wire, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides Magazine, Seattle Bride, Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom, Honeybook, Rising Tide Society, and many other leading industry publications. I’ve also had the sincere pleasure of photographing for many commercial companies, both large and small over the last decade. I’m sincerely grateful for every single one of them, and for the others yet to come.
My experience ultimately led me into the world of education. Katherine Frost, a native Texan and fourth generation event planner, hosting charitable events eventually taking party planning out of the family home and into corporations and luxury weddings. A Frosted Affair all started with her little sister’s debutant party. It was just a snowflake in the eye of the owner and now is a family business, changing the way people dream, plan, and execute events. The goal with each event is to create a unique guest experience that is extraordinary and more memorable than the last. Thinking outside of the box, A Frosted Affair will soon be the leader in events planning.
Before launching her own event planning business, Katherine worked for Destination Management Company, or DMC, and worked with small and large conventions visiting Denver and our surrounding mountain towns. Katherine was responsible for building relationships with vendor partnerships, creating enticing proposals, and executing events onsite. Being fortunate to work for such an amazing team of individuals, Katherine knew it was only a matter of time before she felt confident enough to leap out on her own.
While planning luxury events, this young CEO started asking the question, with all these apps out there why is there not one to help me to do what? This major question sparked an journey to explore what was out there and deciding to team up with a robust tech team to bring an operational software designed to help fellow planners plan more efficiently. ORO’s design is to have all event details at a planners finger tips while on the go. Having full control over the information that is sent separately to vendors and clients alike.
Graduating from Southern Methodist University, Katherine immediately ventured into the wonderful world of ski instructing. She worked with high-end clients and “VIP’s” to ensure even the littlest guests were having the best experience in Beaver Creek possible. Working with three to six year olds proceeded to be a wonderful patience building experience. Learning how to explain, demonstrate, and give lots of encouragement is something Katherine has carried over into working with clients now.
Katherine holds a bachelor’s degree in Art and Elementary School Education from SMU. She is currently on several committees and nonprofit boards helping the events teams increase their profit from the events themselves. As an ambitious entrepreneur, Katherine is taking her time to find the right board that aligns with her passions and energy. She thoroughly enjoys working with so many at the moment, and helping them navigate the gala and golf tournament waters and elevate these events into a special event for the participants and affordable for the charities.
