Today we feature Kelly Boyle of LeslieJames Events! Kelly just recently launched the rebuild of her new website. The timing could not be more perfect to spotlight her and her brand!

Company Snapshot:  LeslieJames Events is a full-service wedding and event planning company serving the Berkshires, North Shore Boston and the greater New England area.

My approach is simple, it is all about YOU. The goal is to meet you where you are in the planning process and create a custom package that is unique to your personality, style and budget.

I love what I do and bring a childlike enthusiasm to the planning process.

While I am extremely organized, detail oriented, and love curating the perfect vendor team, I strongly believe in hugs, laughing until our cheeks hurt, finding joy in the simple things and that love is the closest thing to magic.

QUICK Q&A:

How did you pick the name of your business?

Great question and one that I am asked nearly every day. My company is named after my parents Leslie and James. When I decided to start my own company, I struggled with finding a name that not only resonated with me but was a true reflection of both my brand and its core values. I envisioned a name that shouted – joy, playfulness, memories and (most importantly) family. So, when the name LeslieJames Events came to me in the middle of the night, it was perfect.  Afterall, it was my parents that made every holiday, birthday and gathering feel magical. They instilled in me from an early age that there was always a reason to celebrate and create memories.

If you had to give just one piece of advice to couples planning their wedding, what would it be?

Honestly, wedding planning can be stressful, even for the pros. So, my advice to couples is to ensure that your relationship always remain a priority. It is paramount that you keep “dating”, schedule time to play, laugh and stay commented and always remember why you fell in love in the first place.

What do you do in your spare time to decompress?

When I am not planning weddings, you can find me seeking joy in the ordinary and spending time with family and friends. I am an avid sports fan (I love the Denver Broncos, the USWNT and the Dutch National Team) and I also love to travel, wander around Tower Hill Botanical Garden, drink prosecco, play golf with my Dad, go to high tea, listen to music, read a good book, and take road trips in search amazing craft beer and lobster rolls.

Tell us about a memory you have from a past wedding that sticks out in your mind.

Every wedding has its own special and unique moments. One of my favorite memories from 2020 is “the rug”.  Early in the planning process for D & T’s wedding, they mentioned (in passing) that they wanted to incorporate a family rug into their wedding as a surprise for the Bride’s parents. Mind you the rug did not match the design or color palette, it was huge (almost didn’t fit into the car), it would need to be hidden (in plain sight) all weekend AND the couple’s faces lit up every time we talked about the rug – so I was absolutely going to find a way to include the rug in the celebration.  On a gorgeous September evening, after dinner, we rolled out the rug for the couple’s first dance under the stars. Seeing the emotion from Mom and Dad and watching their family dance the night away on the rug, is exactly the magical memories that I seek to create with all my clients.

What motivates you?

I love helping clients bring THEIR unique vision to life. So, whether it is a formal church wedding followed by a ballroom reception or a backyard wedding on a family farm, I love ensuring that their one-of-a-kind celebration becomes a reality.

“We can’t recommend the service that Kelly provided enough. While planning a small wedding we were unsure about the prospect of hiring a planner. We are so happy that we did, the day would simply not have happened without her. Kelly not only supported our vision for the day but also brought fresh ideas and perspective. Most importantly her unbelievable network of vendors made the entire planning process much less stressful. Kelly is easy to work with, attentive and creative.”  ~ Devin H.
